Ajose was founded to bridge the gap between African producers and European consumers — connecting artisans, farmers, and small businesses from across Africa to buyers in the UK and Europe.
Our goal is to create a shopping experience that’s culturally rich, ethically grounded, and economically empowering. Whether you’re buying handcrafted fabrics, organic spices, or wellness products rooted in tradition, Ajose ensures quality, authenticity, and impact at every step of the journey.
“Ajose” means collaboration in Yoruba — and that spirit of working together shapes everything we do.

Whether you’re gifting, restocking your pantry, or decorating your space, Ajose makes the experience personal, impactful, and culturally meaningful.

…We’re not just another online store. We’re building an ecosystem — one that supports sustainable business, respects cultural heritage, and strengthens community ties across continents.
Inspired by a deep love for African culture and the rising demand for authentic products in Europe, our founder Oluwaseun Adaramola began building the Ajose platform from Norwich, UK — combining e-commerce with cultural exchange.
Ajose partnered with farmers, artisans, and small businesses across Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya. We began onboarding vendors, providing export support, and developing our Quality Assurance framework.
Ajose officially launched its platform to customers in the UK. Pop-up events, diaspora gifting services, and a “Taste of Africa” subscription box helped grow our reach and bring the brand to life.
With partnerships, mobile app development, and expansion into more African countries, Ajose continues to grow, guided by the vision of a truly collaborative, Afro-European marketplace.
